These terms apply to cleaning and laundry services provided by Cumbria Bright Ltd(company number 16043681, registered in England and Wales), Whitehaven, Cumbria CA28 0AA. By booking a service with us you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Our services

We provide domestic, commercial, holiday-let, end-of-tenancy, post-construction and related cleaning services, and laundry and linen services through our sister company Zippy Bright, across our West Cumbria service area (Eskdale to Cockermouth and surrounding). We will carry out each service with reasonable care and skill.

Quotes and pricing

Prices for standard services are fixed and published on our price guide. Bespoke and commercial work is quoted individually.
A quote is based on the information and, where relevant, photos you provide. If the property or job differs materially from what was described — for example significantly heavier soiling, or a larger property — we will discuss and agree any adjustment with you before proceeding.
Our prices include cleaning products, equipment and insurance unless stated otherwise.

Booking and access

A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date and price with you.
You are responsible for providing safe access to the property at the agreed time, and for ensuring utilities (water, electricity, heating where needed) are available.
If we cannot gain access at the agreed time through no fault of ours, a call-out or cancellation charge may apply.

Payment

Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking, normally on or shortly after completion, by the methods we offer. For ongoing and commercial contracts, payment terms are set out in your individual agreement.

Cancellation and rescheduling

We understand plans change. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or move a booking. Cancellations at very short notice, or where we have already travelled to the property, may be subject to a charge to cover our costs. Where you have a right to cancel under consumer contract regulations, that right is unaffected.

Our 24-hour satisfaction guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you are not happy with any area we have cleaned, tell us within 24 hours of the clean and we will return and put it right at no extra charge. The guarantee covers the cleaning we carried out; it does not extend to pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or issues outside the agreed scope of work.

Your responsibilities

Please tell us in advance about anything fragile, valuable or hazardous, and about surfaces needing special care.
Please secure or remove items of high sentimental or monetary value before we attend.
Please let us know about pets, alarms or anything else we should be aware of on site.

Liability and insurance

We hold public liability insurance and take care in every property we work in — see our insurance page. We are responsible for loss or damage we cause through our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing faults or damage, damage caused by items not disclosed as fragile or unstable, or normal wear and tear. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
